What moves the price

Our promise to you

The Prepared Visit Promise

Call or send your request before you travel, and we will tell you exactly what to bring. If you bring everything we asked for and we still cannot complete your service that day for a reason within our control, your return visit is free.

This promise covers the work NABSPRO performs in our office. It does not cover how long an outside agency takes to process, approve, or return a result, because that timing is not ours to control.

Common questions

Live Scan Fingerprinting FAQs

What information should I bring for Live Scan?

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and every instruction, form, authorization number, or ORI supplied by the requesting organization.

How quickly will I receive results?

Result timing depends on the receiving agency and request type. NABSPRO cannot guarantee an outside agency’s processing time.

Can I walk in?

Appointments and walk-ins are accepted during business hours. An appointment request can help the team prepare for your service.

What is an ORI and do I need one?

An ORI is the identifying code for the agency that will receive your results. Many Maryland applications require one. If your instructions list an ORI, authorization number, or agency code, bring that paper with you. If they do not mention one, call us before you travel so we can check.

How long does the appointment itself take?

The fingerprint capture usually takes about fifteen minutes once your paperwork is confirmed. Arriving with your instructions in hand is what keeps the visit short.

What if my fingerprints are rejected for poor quality?

It happens occasionally, most often with worn or dry fingertips. Bring the rejection notice back to us and we will recapture your prints. Ask us about our return-visit promise when this occurs.

Do you fingerprint children?

Yes, for purposes such as adoption or Gold Seal requests. A parent or legal guardian must be present with photo identification and the agency instructions.

Can someone else pick up my results?

No. Results are released by the receiving agency directly to you or to the organization named in your request. NABSPRO does not hold or release results.
