NABSPRO offers notary public service for customers who need eligible signatures, acknowledgments, jurats, or other documents notarized. The notary verifies identity, witnesses or acknowledges signatures as required, and completes the applicable notarial certificate.

What moves the price
- The number of notarial acts, since each signature notarized is its own act.
- The number of signers present.
- Whether the document also requires translation in the same visit.
Maryland sets a maximum fee per notarial act. NABSPRO charges within the state cap and will tell you the total before signing.
Prices shown are the NABSPRO service fee. Government, agency, and processing fees set by an outside body are separate and are collected at cost. You will be told your full total before any work begins.

This promise covers the work NABSPRO performs in our office. It does not cover how long an outside agency takes to process, approve, or return a result, because that timing is not ours to control.

Should I sign my document before arriving?
Do not sign in advance when the notary must witness the signature. Bring the complete unsigned document and all required signers.
Can the notary tell me which document or certificate I need?
A notary cannot choose a legal document or provide legal advice. The document preparer or receiving organization should identify the required form and notarial act.
What identification should I bring?
Bring a valid, acceptable government-issued photo ID. Call before your visit when your identification situation is unusual.
How much does a notarization cost?
Maryland law caps what a notary public may charge per notarial act. NABSPRO charges within that cap, and the current amount is posted at the counter and quoted on the phone. Most single-document visits are inexpensive.
Do you have a witness available?
Some documents require one or two witnesses in addition to the notary, and a witness generally cannot be the notary. Ask when you call, because bringing your own witness is often the fastest path.
Can you notarize a document in French?
The notary must be able to communicate directly with the signer and understand the notarial certificate. Translation service is available in the same office, so a French document can often be handled in one visit. Call first so we can plan it.
Do you offer mobile or remote online notarization?
Service is provided at the Lanham office. If you need a mobile or remote online notarization, call and we will tell you plainly whether we can help or point you elsewhere.
My ID is expired. Can you still notarize?
Generally no. Identification must be valid and acceptable under Maryland law. Call before you travel so you do not make the trip for nothing.
